Lockwood Beckons

February 23rd

Sheila and I headed off mid-morning to spend a couple of hours sitting on a bench behind the fishermen's hut at Lockwood Beck hoping for a mealy redpoll - sometimes called common redpoll although I can't think for the life of me why! However we chatted to the other birders and we had fabulous views of treecreeper plus nuthatch, marsh tit, siskin and a supporting cast of more common tits and finches. Here are a few views of what we saw.

Siskin

Nuthatch Lesser redpoll only seen once and only briefly on the feeder.

Marsh tit

Treecreeper

We moved on heading for a walk out on Greatham Creek. Cool breeze but pretty pleasant in this spell of warmer weather. Avocets x8 eventually seen on the third pool plus lots of shelduck and shoveler.  Final photo as walked back to the car park over the bridge - redshank!

Pack shot photography requires a high level of trust between the picture taker and their customer. Previously, produced and spilled packshots have prompted harmed notorieties and legal disputes. Of the considerable number of types of business photography there are, packshots likely require the most elevated level of security and privacy.
